The massive Himalayas stretch across ASIA and include the fourteen (14) tallest peaks in the world – Mount Everest being the tallest. The Himalayas contain one hundred times as much ice as the ALPS and provide more than half of the drinking water for 40 per cent of the world’s population, through seven (7) Asian river systems that all originate on the same plateau.
